Lovely… Rich and personal, with a universal application.
We can all appreciate knowing such stories about our own lives (except me, of course, because I refuse to look closely into my own life. But I understand now, with the cumulative processes of age and experience, one can’t escape the weight and pull of your own personal story – even if you work hard to hide it, convinced that it’s secretly very ordinary (like you). Fantasy seems better to hide in.
This is amazing – warm and personal – you create such a strong picture of your home filled with life and people. It feels like a kind of ideal I’ve always wished for, but never quite achieved. Mine has always been a quieter, more solitary affair – more so now. So I really appreciate being able to share yours!
A very relaxed account, Steve and Angie, of your homes and what home means to you. Very interesting, and easy to listen to. How you both seem to know what you want and agree on the ways ahead was lovely. Best wishes.
