Object Task Response
A straw.
What for?
We singers know.
We blow!
It helps the air to flow.
Not whispering – oh no.
Thin, cracked voice, hesitant, slow.
We would not have it so.
Held in the palm,
Extending from the arm,
Inspired by the dance
This straw can prance.
Transformed into a wand
It magics up a band
To swell the music
Surging through the room.
Dispels all gloom.
Then, sorcerer grown bold,
Empowered by my hold,
It inscribes marks,
Shoots billiard balls in pockets
Sparks from electric sockets
Soars heavenward. What larks!
No hesitation here.
No fear.
