Outline
For this task, we would like to explore the contrasting concepts of security and tightness.
A knot is tied to secure something, to keep it safe or secure. It is a place of stability, like an anchor.
However, a knot can also be a place of tension and tightness. When we feel a knotting sensation, this can be a site of pain.
We would love to hear your thoughts on this concept of knots in contrast, knotting as a visual concept (tight, weaved together, patterns) or any emotional connection this has.
This term we are exploring dance and language more closely, so we would love this in a written format, including any of the following:
- Free writing
- Poetry
- A story – fictional or something in real life
- Thoughts on a Postcard
- Quotes
- A Letter
- A Memory
These could also be submitted as a voice recording.

There is no deadline to contribute your ideas and we would love to receive them at any time
